Fiber Drop Technician

Location: Union, MS / Philadelphia, MS

Additional Location: Toledo, OH

Pay: $25/hour, 1099

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Contract / 1099

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Fiber Drop Technicians to support fiber installation projects in Union, MS, Philadelphia, MS, and Toledo, OH. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber drop installation, residential/business connections, and basic fiber troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install and route fiber optic drop cables from the main distribution point to customer premises.
• Perform fiber drop installation, termination, splicing, and connection as required.
• Install and secure fiber cable both underground and aerial where applicable.
• Troubleshoot basic fiber connectivity and installation issues.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and fiber installation equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and project specifications.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, supervisors, and project teams.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fiber Technician, Fiber Drop Technician, Fiber Installer, or Telecom Technician .
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic cable installation.
• Knowledge of fiber drops, FTTH, splicing, termination, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites.
• Must be available to start ASAP.
• 1099 contractor arrangement.
